Large-Signal Stable Nonlinear Control of DC/DC Power Converter With Online Estimation of Uncertainties

The passivity-based control (PBC) is recognized as an effective energy shaping approach to guarantee the asymptotic stability of whole system by using passivity property. However, model- and sensor-based characteristics limit its development application. combination PBC online estimation technique can solve these problems. purpose this article propose a controller observer, which are designed simultaneously based on Hamiltonian framework Lyapunov criterion. It leads design without separation dynamics observer. uncertainties in model parameters considered equivalent voltage current sources. To reduce number sensors, input voltage, output current, sources estimated together. steady-state error eliminated technique. exponential (converter, controller, observer) proved proper function. Simulation experimental results from 3-kW 270–350-V dc/dc boost converter with constant power load (CPL) performed confirm proposed algorithm. Since parameter values may vary temperature equilibrium point, robustness method verified uncertainties.
